90 Ball Bingo

Bingo is a game that is played world wide but different countries have their own variations. For example in Britain, Australia, Spain and most of Europe the variety of bingo that has been traditionally played is the 90 ball version. In other countries like the USA and Canada, the 75 ball game has traditionally been more prevalent. Both games are similar in that the basic rules are same - you simply mark off the numbers in your bingo tickets when they are called by the caller. The player who marks off all the numbers in their ticket first wins the game and takes the jackpot!

In 90 ball bingo however there are 3 rows of numbers called "lines", and 9 columns. Each line is comprised by 5 numbers and 4 blanks. There are no patterns, letters, or numbers games like in 75 ball bingo, and you play for completing one line, two lines, or three lines, which is called a "full house" . It is quite simple really, and there are 3 opportunities to win for every game of bingo which can make it very exciting especially if there is a big jackpot at stake.

All online bingo sites have the option of mark off the numbers on the bingo tickets automatically which is termed "auto daubing". This makes it much easier to play and it means that you don't miss any numbers on the cards. Also tickets can be bought individually or in strips of 6, like you do in land based bingo halls.

Some bingo sites even offer more chances to win some cash. Certain bingo rooms may offer a consolation prize so to speak for those players who do not win one of the 3 typical main prizes. So if you are left with one number (1TG) or 2 numbers (2TG) to win the full house you can still win a share of the prize pool that is allocated to either the 1TG game, and 2TG game. It might not be much since it is shared with other players who were also left dangling but it is better than nothing! Please note that these games are not available everywhere and is only a variation of the normal 90 ball bingo game.

In 90 ball bingo you can also play for progressive jackpots where you can win a substantial prize for getting a full house within a certain amount of numbers. This then starts decreasing once the threshold is reached with every number called if no one has won the prize continuing until the regular pot remains. This makes 90 ball bingo an exciting game to play and you never know when your luck may be in, and it means that like in a land based bingo network, you can win large prizes if you get the full house under a certain number of balls.

If you are new to online bingo and have always played 90 ball bingo at your local bingo hall then it might be a good idea to start with this type of game, and it is now the game of choice of most UK bingo bingo operators.
