According to a new survey done by Gala Bingo the luckiest town is indeed Harrogate. It beat other towns like Exeter, Dudley, Cleveland and Norwich for top spot in this curious list. The rest of the top 10 was comprised of Inverness, Crewe, Motherwell, Stevenage and Portsmouth.
It has been discovered that Harrogate appears to have the highest average win for online bingo per player. Thanks to this survey Harrogate will now be famous for its Sulphur Springs, Spa history and for the sheer amount of lucky bingo players. The title was scooped after calculating the average amount of dosh won by Gala players between 1st October 2008 and 30th September 2009 and dividing the amount by the number of players in each town or city.
When regions were compared, Gala Bingo found that the North East seems to be the region with most winners in the UK, followed very closely by Wales and Northern Ireland. Even though Scotland boasts two regions in the top 10 towns survey, they are only the eighth luckiest region in the UK.
Lesley Hall who works at Gala Bingo as Online PR Manager said that discovering that Harrogate was the UK's luckiest city amongst more than half a million monthly wins was a very interesting find.
