Stacey Set To Win X Factor
According to an 888ladies Bingo survey Stacey Solomon is the person tipped to win the X Factor. Originally from Dagenham and a single mum, Stacey Solomon has recently emerged as the front runner to follow in the successful footsteps of mega stars Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke. 888ladies has confirmed that she is the favourite to win the much acclaimed ITV1’s X Factor title.
The amount of phone votes is being guarded by the X Factor bosses as if a national treasure was at stake. However, the online bingo survey by 888ladies has indicated that Stacey will be the contestant to beat when the winner is announced at the final gala night on December 13th 2009.
Stacey currently stands at 5/2 odds on favourite at 888Sport. The survey revealed that she is the top pick for 36% of people surveyed, closely followed by fellow Essex resident Olly Murs with 28% of the popular vote. The results of the vote cast a grey shadow over the potential success of youngster Lloyd Daniels and the controversial Jedward with a mere 1% and 6% of the vote respectively. Somewhere in the middle of all this and probably hoping for a change of fortunes are Danyl Johnson and Joe McElderry with 7% and 20% of the popular vote respectively.
However, the contestants are not the only ones who were included in this popularity vote. The judges were also compared with Cheryl Cole standing out as the most popular one with 43% of voters naming her as their favourite judge. Simon Cowell followed with 35% of the votes, Dannii Minogue with 13% and a very disappointing 7% for Louis Walsh (probably due to his son-screen tiff with Dermot O’Leary a mere two weeks ago).
The judges’ decisions are not proving popular with viewers either with 67% disagreeing that it was time for the ‘Fro to go’ when Jamie Archer was voted off on Sunday night’s show. Fans are also getting fed up with the judges’ reliance on ‘deadlock’ to make the final decision over which contestant leaves the show. 83% of those surveyed believed it was merely a kop out by the X Factor panel.
Ed Nicholson, 888ladies Bingo spokesperson, commented that the nation has taken Stacey to their hearts because she has a girl-next-door-type of attitude. Everyone is talking about Stacey and she is the darling from Dagenham. Although no one knows the results of the votes every week, a recent poll held by 888Ladies has shown that Stacey is top of the pack at the moment. However as we all know the British public is fickle so the battle is far from won yet.
