Libra is an air sign, represented by a set of scales. It is also ruled by the planet Venus, so it is not surprising that the main aim of this sign is to seek or create balance and harmony in all aspects of life.  Librans are master diplomats and like other air signs are very interested in exchanges of ideas and opinions. However Librans are usually willing to reach a consensus or compromise as they can usually see both sides of an argument as equally valid. Librans are fair and just by nature and will always bear this in mind when reaching a decision.

Librans appreciate and value all things beautiful and graceful. They also detest bad manners and brashness, and tend to be equipped with politeness and social graces. As a result they also place importance on appearance and looking attractive, and will go to great trouble to achieve this if need be.

Libra natives have a reputation for being indecisive, however this is inaccurate portrayal. They just need time to weigh up the options, compare, and discuss. Librans do have the ability to reach important decisions with great diligence though, which is why they do make great natural leaders.  Romance is an integral part of life to a Libra, and life to them is about forming and living in partnership.
