Taurus is an earth sign of fixed quality, symbolised by the bull, and it is ruled by the planet Venus so it is not surprising that Taurus is known as the “love sign” of the zodiac. Taurus people are great romantics and very sensual beings. Taureans could be described as stable and dependable, and do not shy away from routine. People under this sign are neither impulsive nor hasty, and will move slowly to achieve whatever they set their sights to do. Perhaps their most notable quality is their patience, which serves them to remain calm and cool in most situations.

Taureans have a love of luxuries and anything that gives them pleasure. They enjoy lush surroundings and need their home to be a complete comfort zone. Taurus is often associated with indulgence, and these people love good food and wine, often in excess.  They are also very affectionate and warm hearted, they will be immensely loyal, and although they will prefer to have a few friends rather than many acquaintances and their friendships will remain strong for years. They are slow to anger for they have a patient and easy going nature, but when they do few will forget, for they charge like a bull in a china shop.  However they can be slow on the relationship front too, so anyone interested in a Taurus may need a great deal of patience as they need to be sure that you are right for them.

Taurus people hate change, and will try to preserve the status quo. They are often seen as being stubborn, and once they make up their mind about something there is little that can be done to change it.
